As a Business Development Director with MaxPeople you’ll help power business success by pursuing new prospects, sharing, and quantifying our value proposition and implementing sales strategies to achieve maximum results.

Who We Are:

We are our clients' outsourced HR department, assisting them with all of their people issues including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, legislative compliance, employment law, terminations, employee programs and so much more. We do this by providing our clients with customized HR solutions that support their people, processes, productivity, and profit. If you enjoy selling a great service that will protect, enhance, and save the client money, this position may be for you.

Candidates:

This is very much a hunter role, and you must have a proven track record and the ability to close deals. As the ideal candidate, you are driven to succeed by converting prospects into clients. You enjoy calling, building relationships - and most of all - you live to close each deal. Ideally, you have built a strong network from your previous experience. You bring a professional attitude and are comfortable speaking with senior executives, business owners and identified decision makers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prospect: Consistently work on building a balanced pipeline of target prospects through traditional means of prospecting (cold calling, email, phone, LinkedIn) as well as building and leveraging a diverse group of ecosystem partners to provide referrals and business development opportunities.
  • Network with local groups, organizations, and associations and is actively involved in relevant events to build relationships, keep current with trends, and uncover opportunities that lead to sales prospects.
  • Qualifying opportunities: Strong understanding of target market and decision-making personas will help to qualify leads.
  • Administrative: Schedule meetings and prepare meeting materials (i.e., sales decks, business proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate the hand off once a client has signed a contract to our HR consulting team.
  • Value amp; Consultative Selling: Establish a trusted advisor relationship within the prospect’s decision-making system, to effectively gain successful business and long-term client relationships.
  • Sales Process: Utilize a sophisticated and multi-step selling process with defined criteria. Balance multiple complex opportunities in parallel through the stages of typical sales process.
  • Sales tools and systems: Utilize Sales systems including Salesforce.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and quoting tools to manage daily activities efficiently and effectively.
  • Achieve quota target by meeting sales activity metrics

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a B2B complex Business Development/Sales role including business development/sales of professional services.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to prospective clients’ sites within your assigned territory.
  • Highly motivated initiative-taker with a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as listening skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals, developing business and closing deals.
  • Human Resources background would be an asset.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.
  • Ability to build your own book of business from prospecting, sourcing, establishing, and maximizing partner and referral networks.
