Valard Construction LP is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Drayton Valley Office. Suitable candidates will have above average verbal and written communication skills and be extremely competent with Microsoft Office applications. General clerical experience will also be required. The ability to manage in a fast-paced environment is a definite asset as well as provides support for a number of departments.
Description of duties:
- Assist in project administration for new work orders, RFP’s, requests for work, etc.
- Prepare job folders and help develop the submissions respectively.
- Work with the Area Supervisor in preparing and coordinating the technical requirements for work orders.
- Work with the Area Supervisor in reconciling day-to-day paperwork associated with work orders.
- Under the guidance of the Area Supervisor/Project Manager, submit Change Orders, Requests for Information (RFI), or other paperwork as may be required associated with the area work orders.
- Working with the Project Manager, track project costs and work to ensure target production and margin targets are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate amp; track project completions and associated invoicing.
Requirements
- Experience in administration with familiarity in invoicing an asset.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong computer skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with direction yet stay part of the team.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in administrative support roles.
- A strong communicator with excellent Customer Service Skills.
- A detail-oriented person with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
- Above average computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A professional and positive attitude.
