Job Description

Arnett amp; Burgess (Aamp;B) is looking for an AMPP / NACE CIP Level 2 Coating Inspector to join our integrity team. The Coating Inspector will provide support and guidance regarding the implementation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and enforcement of Aamp;B’s Quality amp; Coating Management Systems (QMS). The Coating Inspector is responsible for communicating and assisting of daily on site-specific Coating related activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Provide guidance and support to construction personnel to verify construction activities comply with project requirements.
  • Assist in applications of the product when smaller crews are required.
  • Receive and inspect coating materials, review data sheets ensuring compliance with the latest codes, standards, client specifications, and assure the material management process is followed.
  • Review IFC Project Drawings confirming latest revisions and applicable coating to be applied.
  • Daily monitoring and reporting of site-specific Coating related tasks.
  • Ensure all Quality Control documentation is compiled and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct daily quality inspections of contracted third parties if required.
  • Ensure all Coating reports are reviewed, signed off and filed in the QC Project Turnover Package.
  • Verify all testing equipment is calibrated, the certificate of calibration is reviewed for accuracy and filed in the QC Project Turnover Package.
  • Report all non-conforming conditions in accordance with the QMS NCR process.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of project related experience in integrity and / or pipeline construction.
  • AMPP / NACE CIP 2 Coating Inspector.
  • Able to develop and manage excel spreadsheets, word documents, and have good organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, good written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
