Position: Oasis Program Manager

Component/Team: Oasis

Status: Permanent, 1.0 FTE Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Salary Scale: $86,323 $104,013 annualized salary plus benefits

Start Date: Immediately

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Program Director, this position is instrumental in aiding the Director to manage the full life cycle of the programs and/or employees, from hiring to orientation, to coaching and performance management and termination. The Manager ensures that resources are in place and aligned to support the program’s priorities/deliverables and that the supporting policies and procedures are in place and up to date.

Accountable for best practice and client centered care through a harm reduction and health equity lens, this position has direct oversight of the Program’s Nursing staff and Team Leaders of the Consumption and Treatment Site (CTS) /Drop-In Services and Medical Administration.

This role will promote a cohesive, effective interdisciplinary team approach among the entire Program’s services, and will support our staff to grow, develop and innovate.

This leader will help us continue to refine our services to meet our client and community needs with a focus on:

  • Optimizing day-to day operations of the medical clinic, CTS and associated services
  • Clinical Nursing Development and Management
  • Program Wide Infection Prevention amp; Control and Occupational Health amp; Safety
  • Team leadership and development
  • Enhancing Community and Partner relations

  • The Manager is responsible for day to day supervision of the Oasis Nursing staff and will work with the Director, who is managing the primary care teams, in the coordination of clinical (includes OAT, CTS) operational issues and quality assurance initiatives. The Manager works in conjunction with the Oasis Director and Centre wide Leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of integrated services where indicated.


    Reporting Relationship:

    As an employee of the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, the incumbent is responsible to the Director of Oasis Program and through him/her to the Executive Director.

    This position is accountable to manage the Program’s Nursing staff in all aspects from hiring to orientation, to coaching, day to day operation, performance management and termination.

    This position is also accountable to manage the Team Lead of the Consumption and Treatment Site/Drop-In Services and Medical Administration. This includes supporting the Team Leads with problem solving for complex OHamp;S and employee relations issues and operations of these services.

    The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the licensing and regulatory requirements of their respective professional governing body.

    Requirements

    Skills, Education and Experience:

    Requirements for this position include:

    Education and Language

    • Baccalaureate degree in nursing, social work or psychology from a recognized college or university
    • Certificate of competence from their professional governing body in Ontario
    • Fluency in English, both oral and written
    • Under the Centre’s designation to provide French Language Services, this position is designated bilingual preferred:
    • French (oral expression): Advanced
    • French (oral comprehension): Advanced
    • French (reading comprehension): Intermediate +
    • French (writing comprehension): Intermediate +


    Professional Experience

    • Minimum of five years of experience in Community Health Centre setting
    • Three to five years of direct interdisciplinary team supervisory experience
    • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation
