COBS Bread is growing, and we’re looking for a Full-time Sales Associate (minimum 30 hours/week) to join our team. We provide a fun work environment, comprehensive training, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. No experience needed, as long as you have the right attitude and you’re interested in learning new skills!
As a Sales Associate at COBS Bread, you will:
- Work as part of a small team, providing exceptional customer service, and getting to know your regular customers
- Be responsible for merchandising product and executing marketing campaigns
- Also work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and assist with production as needed
Compensation starts at $19.00/hour and will increase based on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days. Flexible hours are available. Please note that the bakery opens at 6 am and closes after cleaning at 6:30 pm and is open 7 days a week and candidates must be required to work on any day of the week including Sundays and Statutory holidays. You must be able to arrange your own transportation as public transit is not available at 6 am.

Requirements
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Strong customer service focus and ability to multitask
- Experience in handling cash, credit card and debit transactions are preferred
- Relevant retail experience is a strong asset
- Positive attitude, high energy, always smiling and a friendly demeanour
- Reliability and self-motivation, and enjoy learning new skills
- A team player who is approachable, social and enjoys working with people
- Takes pride in providing a great and personable experience for our customers
- Must have their own transportation to and from work
- Only non-smoker / non-vaping candidates will be considered
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing/ walking for all tasks
- Constant use of both hands, and frequent forceful gripping
- Continually operating the POS tablet system
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 kg, reaching below shoulder level, bending and turning
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending and reaching above shoulder level
