Position: Director of AMHS/CAT/CM/ICM

Component/Team: AMHS/CAT

Status: Permanent, 1.0 FTE Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Salary Scale: $99,263 - $119,610 annualized salary plus benefits

Start Date: September 25

Position Description:

The Director of Addiction and Mental Health, Client Access and Case Management Services is responsible for all aspects of the three program components. The Director works closely with staff to ensure the highest quality and most cost-effective services to clients. They are responsible for developing and managing effective systems and resources to assist the Teams with the provision of services which will help clients to achieve their desired goals. The Director Addiction and Mental Health, Client Access and Case Management teams contributes to the mission of the Health Centre stressing innovative programming, health promotion, collegial support, cooperation and client participation and exemplifies the values of the Centre.


Reporting Relationship:

The Director of Addiction and Mental Health, Client Access and Case Management Services is directly accountable to the Executive Director. As a member of the senior management team, the employee is responsible to the other management team members and their teams. The employee is responsible for meeting the regulatory requirements of his/her governing body, if one exists.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Experience:

Requirements for this position include:

Education and Language

  • Master’s degree in Administration, Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • Under the Centre’s designation to provide French Language Services:
  • French (oral expression): Advanced
  • French (oral comprehension): Advanced
  • French (reading comprehension): Intermediate +


Professional Experience

  • A Minimum of five years of progressively responsible management experience in the areas of program development; promotion and evaluation; financial management; team management including supervision of clinical staff and change management; preferably in a health care centre environment or addictions agency
  • Experience interacting with senior level management and community representatives


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Stakeholder management and partnership development skills
  • Diversity, equity, inclusion and justice skills and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage fiscal resources and develop work plans
  • Client engagement and co-design skills
  • Demonstrated administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to client-centered and harm reduction frameworks for service provision
  • Clinical management skills will be considered an asset
