We are seeking a Main Cook / Chef to manage our Dosa Restaurant. The Chef will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our valued clients. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, a customer-first attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and cook a variety of South Indian vegetarian dishes, specializing in dosas and other dishes.
- Estimate food requirements and communicate with suppliers.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to an exceptional standard.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and food safety regulations.
- Supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintain accurate records of food costs and inventory levels.
- Ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a chef in a similar position.
- Experience with South Indian cuisine is a must.
- Must be creative, passionate, and willing to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a part of the team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
