Job Description

We are seeking a Main Cook / Chef to manage our Dosa Restaurant. The Chef will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our valued clients. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, a customer-first attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and cook a variety of South Indian vegetarian dishes, specializing in dosas and other dishes.
  • Estimate food requirements and communicate with suppliers.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to an exceptional standard.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and food safety regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs and inventory levels.
  • Ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a chef in a similar position.
  • Experience with South Indian cuisine is a must.
  • Must be creative, passionate, and willing to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a part of the team.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
