The Role
Penny AI is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as Sr. Project Manager. The successful candidate needs to be a leader and excellent communicator, able to understand the nuances of different projects and stakeholders, have a knack for identifying potential roadblocks and challenges, and be flexible in their approach based on the specific project or client requirements.
As a Project Manager at Penny AI, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of various projects in an agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and customer support, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our customers. Your expertise in project management, organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be critical in achieving our company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively implement measures to mitigate potential roadblocks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and priorities.
- Foster effective communication and information-sharing among teams to maintain a seamless flow of information.
- Act as a liaison between different departments, promoting a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
- Project Governance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices.
- Create regular progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive stakeholders, providing updates on project status and risks.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and respond to emerging issues promptly.
- Customer Focus:
- Understand customer needs and expectations to ensure the development of customer-centric solutions.
- Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement in product development and service delivery.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for process improvement and lessons learned.
- Implement improvements to enhance project execution efficiency and overall team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in program or project management in a SAAS company or software development environment.
- Strong understanding of SAAS development processes and methodologies.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum) are desirable but not mandatory.
