The Learning amp; Development Intern role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting with developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and initiatives in a dynamic consulting environment. You will fit right in if you believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration, deliver on your commitments, excel at managing multiple priorities and have excellent attention to detail.

What You’ll be Doing:

Develop learning materials with guidance from the Learning and Development team

  • Create, format and refresh learning materials including electronic and printed workbooks, toolkits, activity sheets, fillable PDF slides and/or toolkits
  • Research and compile information on hot topics in Human Resources, leadership, management, and personal effectiveness at work
  • Assist with the development of eye-catching, meaningful, and on-brand presentations with a high-level of attention to detail

Help foster the learner experience and keep the learning alive post-sessions

  • Recording management including downloading, storing, edit/trimming and send as required
  • Post-session follow-up including, feedback links, recordings, additional learning materials
  • Drafts exciting session reminder emails
  • Create feedback form links, generate results, and assist with client-debrief calls

Assist with the management of classroom logistics (virtual and in-person)

  • Set up Zoom rooms with polling, surveys, registration, etc.
  • Assist with running back-end platform as a technology back-up including polling, breakouts, etc.

Administration and Coordination duties

  • Observe the process of learning events with all pertinent details
  • Shadow Learning and Development team members in maintaining accurate logs of training events and pipeline projects and adjust as needed
  • Assist with Assessment Management and provide support as directed: Send via admin portal, check status, send reminders, batch generate results, send and store assessment results, create team assessment charts

The Learning amp; Development intern will also have the opportunity to support the HR consulting team with a variety of initiatives as required.

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Must be in the process of completing a post-secondary diploma / degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Must be actively enrolled in a co-op/internship program
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, MS TEAMS and Zoom
  • You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one. You understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to bring a shared vision to life.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Extremely adaptable and flexible to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable during interactions with senior level clients and staff
  • Ability to apply discretion and sound judgment to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate future needs and/or potential challenges that may arise
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and an adaptable and collaborative style
  • Demonstrated track record of effective customer focus
