This role is based in Vancouver, BC. pH7 offices are in East Vancouver easily accessible by skytrain.

We are seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst to work side-by-side with our Chief Commercial Officer serving as the company problem solvers and codebreakers.You are passionate about the environment and clean energy. You will be presented with complex business issues and they use mathematical models and statistical analysis to calculate risk and find solutions that will help change the world and impact the legacy we leave for future generations.

The Commercial Operations Analyst will identify efficiencies within the many complex systems and processes used in the energy industry. You will provide services to decision-makers by analyzing the structure, operations, managerial methods or functions of an organization in order to propose, plan and implement improvements. You will work in various business units conducting analysis in technology related to processing, manufacturing, operations, marketing, supply/logistics and other systems to improve performance and advise decision-makers on how to achieve the most optimal or efficient outcomes.

Responsibilities

80% Commercial and Operational Analysis Projects

• Gathering financial and operational data about a commercial organization; organizing the information using industry sources in order to understand the customer's sales trends, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive environment; and provides assessments and analysis of the data.
• Analyzing industry trends, data, and strategies to address issues and exploit sales opportunities in support of markets, key accounts, and brands.
• Coordinating the consolidation of anecdotal and analytical information into action cases, including financial impact.
• Researching and analyzing business information to develop an understanding of the industry and competition environment.
• Seeking technical solutions or partnerships to overcome operational and environmental challenges
• Developing models and monetization strategies across different solution areas to facilitate company growth and profitability.
• Crafting slide decks and reports to present findings to a wide variety of audiences.

20% Project Management

• Coordinating and scheduling weekly update meetings for a variety of changing schedules.
• Tracking project performance and analyzing deliverables against requirements.

Requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in business, economics, strategy, or a related field
• Proven experience developing creative solutions to complex business problems
• Ability to build trusted relationships across an organization and influence a diverse set of stakeholders
• Ability to breakdown and navigate complex topics through effective presentation and storytelling to secure alignment
• Growth mindset and creative problem solver who thrives in an ever-changing environment
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication
• Undergraduate Degree
