Our Emerging Talent team oversees internships, new grad programs, and provides new opportunities for folks that are looking to get into tech!
Day to day, you’ll work closely with your peers on the TA team, HR, and our business unit leaders to source and screen the best talent . You thrive on exploring new ways to do things, managing projects, and understand the value of a best in class candidate experience. You’ll bring a high energy to everything that you do - from managing our internship recruitment process to running external talent events to engaging with interns and new grads once they start!
This is a remote opportunity within Canada or the US.What we're looking for:- 1-2+ years experience working in University Relations, Campus Recruitment, or Emerging Talent, preferably in tech.
- Strong skills using a variety of tools and platforms. You’ve used both internal recruitment systems as well as external recruiting platforms such as Handshake.
- You have experience planning and managing external recruitment events on campus and with talent partners. You’re used to working with candidates and bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to events.
- Resilience. You can effectively manage change, and adapt to advance work and projects
- You consider yourself a self starter. You are comfortable with autonomy and can make thoughtful and educated decisions on the best way to approach your tasks
- Excitement to learn new things: We try new tools often, switch up processes that aren't helping us grow, and are constantly bettering ourselves. We're looking for others who strive to do the same.
- You are able to influence without authority, advising your customers in hiring best practices and at times have challenging conversations
What you can expect:- You will drive internship hiring cycles for various functions across the organization - you’ll work closely with hiring teams, manage hiring timelines, and present offers.
- Candidates will come to you as a first point of contact - you’ll help to manage offers, background checks, and onboarding.
- You will partner up on various Emerging Talent projects, including onboarding, candidate engagement, and performance management.
- You will work with external partners - universities, colleges, bootcamp programs, etc. to create pipelines of talent and to manage events. 10% - 15% travel time will be expected, and there will be the expectation to work some weekends during the year pending event schedules.
- We run plenty of engagement opportunities with our internship program during the year - you’ll help to plan these, source vendors for interesting team building exercises, and attend to bring our interns together as a group.
- During slower periods of Emerging Talent hiring, you may be asked to take on additional full time cycle recruitment activities with our TA team (tech or non tech roles) - we all work as one team and work to pitch in during busy periods!
United States-based roles only: The Annual salary for this role is between $77,000USD and $104,000USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of 1Password and receive an equity grant as part of their total package. At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
