Role: Senior Full Stack PHP Developer
Location: Remote (can be based anywhere in Canada)
Contract: permanent, 37.5 hours, flexible working
Salary: 90,000 CAD$, plus benefits

We are currently seeking a smart, collaborative and curious Senior Full Stack Developer to join our inclusive and playful Client Services team.
The successful candidate will join the team that maintains the sites and products that we have built for a growing client base of over 80. They will ensure our sites and products are maintained to the same standards and rigour of their initial launch. They’ll also be involved in creating and updating features and functionality.
The Senior Full Stack PHP Developer will be responsible for:
- Full-stack Development in the Client Services Service Team to ensure our sites and products are maintained to the same standards as initial launch
- Troubleshooting, triaging and responding to tickets from the client base so our clients always know where they stand
- Estimating Tickets and providing advice to Support and Solutions Managers
- Adhering to, promoting and supporting to shape our internal Best Practices including code reviews, clean and well documented code, and local environment management
Requirements
Essential Experience:
- Excellent working knowledge of back end development (PHP Composer, Object Oriented PHP, TDD/PHP Unit), JavaScript (Vanilla JavaScript, NodeJS), Hosting/Infrastructure (Heroku, Terraform, Digital Ocean, PostgreSQL, MySQL), , Frameworks (Nuxt, Laravel)
- Excellent working knowledge of front end development (CSS, SASS, BEM, HTML, SVG), UX amp; Design (Laws of UX, Responsive Design, High-Fidelity Design Implementation), Accessibility (Web accessibility standards and principles, In-browser testing, Screen reader testing, Access Auditing) JavaScript (Vanilla JavaScript, JQuery, VueJS, TypeScript), and other tools (browser and device testing, browser rendering process, Web Vitals, FE build tooling, AWS, Shopify, Web components)
- Excellent working knowledge of GIT (branching, merge requests, version control, pipeline deploy)
- Experience and a passion for helping teams to work efficiently and produce high quality work that keeps our clients happy
Ideal Experience:
- Experience with API and Sync (Rest API, Tessitura API, Spektrix API)
- AWS (RDS, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, Cloudfront, IAM, API Gateway,)
- Python (Wagtail CMS, Flask, Django)
- An interest in the arts and culture sector
- Experience working in an agency environment and/or comfortable with regular context switching, given the nature of the work
