About the Role

Nelson Education is seeking a highly motivated and organized Manager, Digital Marketing amp; Operations to join our dynamic communications and marketing team. Reporting to the VP, Communications and Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the digital execution of assets, managing day-to-day marketing operations, and ensuring the effective implementation of our digital marketing strategies. Your expertise in SEO, website management, project management, and data analysis will be key in driving the success of our marketing campaigns.

Additionally, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between marketing and sales, ensuring the seamless handoff of high-performing campaign collateral. This position requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to motivate and support senior leadership.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manage key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) to generate, distribute, and track leads.
  • Utilize tools to streamline marketing operations and processes. Establish scalable processes to ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
  • Develop robust KPIs and scorecards for monitoring marketing performance. Produce and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Implement and maintain project management tools and processes.
  • Proactively analyze data to discover trends, identify KPIs, and conduct hypothesis testing.
  • Monitor campaigns and optimize performance based on industry best practices.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance future campaign performance and measurements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to optimize marketing team performance.
  • Take ownership of marketing databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Optimize digital assets for search engines to improve organic visibility.
  • Stay updated with SEO best practices and industry trends.
  • Oversee the strategic development and maintenance of corporate, school, and Nelson websites.
  • Collaborate with Sales and other team members to develop and execute demand and lead generation strategies.
  • Present analysis and findings to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Nelson strategies to enhance marketing automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Education Technology, or a related field.
  • Previous working experience as a Marketing Operations Analyst
  • Hands on experience with marketing automation systems
  • Experience in progressive digital project management ideally in the Ed-Tech sector.
  • Outstanding communication, analytical and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational technology platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and e-learning tools.
  • Experience with sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce and Pardot
  • Experience using a project management platform to lead teams and companies through measurable projects.
  • Familiarity with educational content development and assessment tools (is a plus)
