Job Description
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Applications Supervisor, the BI Analyst will be experienced in transforming data, understanding business processes and applying best practice in visualisation using business intelligence software. The BI Analyst will support business groups and key stakeholders in Canada and US.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Supporting change requests, modifications, publishing, identifying and assigning reports to appropriate end users.
- Daily support, management and configuration
- Work with vendor support on behalf of clients to ensure support issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain a friendly, calm, and professional attitude.
- Maintain the trust and respect of CanWel employees.
- Work on obtaining industry certifications to further career path.
- Writes complex queries and calculations to integrate and transform data for reporting and/or B.I. needs.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of scheduled reports.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong and effective oral and written communicator in English
- Strong time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
- Have an expert understanding of QlikView, Qlik Sense, SQL
- Experience with a wide range of computer systems
- Understanding of North American basic accounting principles; GAAP
- Proficient with analytical reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau
- Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience with multiple ERP systems and integrations
- Post- secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
