We’re looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the VP, Engineering, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing development operations while leading the adoption of a cloud-first strategy. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our infrastructure and drive innovation, efficiency, and security.
A day in the life as Lead Infrastructure Engineer:
- Build out MealSuite’s internal infrastructure amp; processes, enabling our engineering teams to build, test, and deploy their applications and services in a standardized and secure manner.
- Provide the tools necessary for each team to monitor the health of their applications amp; services as well as to diagnose, triage and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
- Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
- Manage the company’s migration to public cloud and deliver reliable, scalable, secure, amp; cost-optimized technology solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow.
- Proactively participate in compliance activities, including process tracking and documentation, audit prep, and training as required.
If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, then this role could be for you:
- I have extensive knowledge of networking amp; infrastructure/DevOps engineering, gained through 8+ years of industry experience
- I have experience working for start-ups or scaling SaaS companies
- I’m familiar with Docker amp; container orchestration, as well as at least one public cloud platform
- I operate best in a Linux environment and am comfortable using Bash
- I have experience managing data pipelines and understand relational databases
- I’m extra passionate about security and data integrity and have experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g. SOC 2 or similar)
- I have a proven ability to deliver large-scale solutions and have successfully led a cloud migration or similar project
- I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA (and Vietnam if required for role).
- I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
- I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
