Job Description

About AssuranceAssurance IQ is a technology company headquartered in Seattle. We were acquired by Prudential (NYSE: PRU) to further the joint mission of improving financial wellness across the world.
At Assurance, we simplify the complex world of insurance and financial services into straightforward, valuable solutions to improve people's lives. We start by asking customers a few questions, so our system can learn about their needs; from there, our ground-breaking, proprietary platform takes over and analyzes the thousands of data points that make customers unique to create custom-tailored plans for each customer. Our platform serves as the intersection between customer and seller, technology, and the human touch.
At Assurance, we are innovative, persevering, humble, collaborative, and authentic, and we're working together to improve the lives of millions!
About the Motivation Squad:
Assurance's strategy integrates technology with human interaction, leveraging our agent force as a crucial component in consumer decision-making. We are a team that has constant executive exposure. We ensure that our incentives align the agents’ best interests with doing great things for helping our consumers. Our compensation and incentives team is committed to developing a system that is transparent and effectively aligns customer and Assurance outcomes, making Assurance the best place for the best agents to work. This is also a rare opportunity to work on a product where you have the combination of gamification/behavior modifying features, but also super high-impact to both the business and real people's livelihoods. We are seeking a Product Manager with a proven multi-year track record of building and shipping products and features that are loved by end-users. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong passion for creative problem-solving.
  • Deep understanding of analytics, including the ability to pull and analyze data using SQL queries.
  • Experience in customer engagement and design thinking methods, including customer interviews, usability tests, and co-creation sessions.
  • A results-focused mindset with a shipping mentality; we value fast execution and learning through shipping products and iterating based on feedback.
  • Technical acumen to discuss architecture and technical considerations with engineers, and a keen interest in learning to drive decision-making.
  • Passion for exploring how financial and non-monetary rewards can influence behaviors.
  • Growth mindset and the ability to be a critical thinker, systematically approaching problem-solving and effectively handling uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas succinctly and clearly.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills to articulate product vision, strategy, and requirements clearly and effectively.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, specifications, and release notes, with precision and clarity.
  • Hands-On Approach and Deep Operational Dive: Are not afraid of rolling up the sleeves and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, operation and customer support, to uncover both product and process improvement opportunities.
  • An eye for creating simple and elegant user experiences, with a natural tendency to critique and improve the UX of apps.
  • Experience in managing complex projects involving multiple vendors or stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Experience in banking or the payments space.
Responsibilities Goals:
  • Owning the roadmap of items that improve agent experience with commissions from ideation through delivery.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, specifications, and release notes, with precision and clarity.
  • Translate business goals and user needs into detailed, comprehensive, and easy-to-understand Business Requirements Documents (BRD). Work closely with engineers to ensure that technical solutions align with the documented requirements.
  • Working with data science, user research, and support to identify pain points and solutions related to agent compensation.
  • Lead the development and launch of new features for the Compensation Portal, focusing on:
  • Accurate payouts for full-time and gig-contract agents.
  • Enhancing tooling and automation for Customer Support and Operations teams.
