Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Game Production, the Producer, Game Presentation is responsible for managing, developing, and ensuring proper execution of all live aspects of game entertainment production at Ottawa Senators home games and select Canadian Tire Centre events.

  • Works with the Director, Game Production to implement game day promotions and activities
  • Coordinates performers and entertainers, including the mascots, anthem singers, musicians, colour parties, celebrities, and other special guests
  • Participates in the planning and execution of pre-game ceremonies, tv-time out activities and intermission programming
  • Assists with video production for internal and external clients
  • Assists with live coordination of additional events at Canadian Tire Centre (e.g. basketball, volleyball, or others)
  • Researches best practices around the NHL and other sports organizations to improve the in-arena experience
  • Prepares scripts and timing sheets for game night staff
  • Liaises with various departments within the organization (Corporate Partnerships, Ticketing, Marketing, Events, Sens Store, Senators Community Foundation) to proactively coordinate the production of their in-game elements
  • Acts as lead stage manager for all Ottawa Senators home games
  • Responsible for scheduling and management of the Promotions Team for all games and events
  • Manages the Goodwill Ambassadors volunteer team of over 50 individuals who serve as hosts at all home games and are responsible for the distribution of game day handouts
  • Maintains the inventory calendar for all in-game elements

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. marketing, event planning)
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a similar position in the sports, entertainment, or events industrt
  • Strong knowledge of hockey, the NHL, and the entertainment industry
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal; bilingualism (English amp; French) is preferred
  • Experience working in video production is an asset
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Willing and available to work outside traditional office hours, including all Ottawa Senators home games
  • Extremely organized and adept at handling multiple priorities
  • Calm and professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
