Video Digital Content Intern (Part-Time)

An internship placement with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club’s Marketing Department will provide valuable experience in all areas of Digital Media and Video Production.

The part-time Video amp; Digital Content Intern will work intensively with the Video Production team assisting in the producing and editing of original content and digital media for the scoreboard at Ottawa Senators home games, web, and social media.

This is a part-time internship placement from January April 2024

• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop video and digital content ideas
• Film and edit videos for various platforms, including social media, website, and scoreboard
• Assist in developing content ideas and strategies to maximize social reach
• Gather and compile assets (photos, videos, etc.) for use in digital content
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in video and digital content creation
• Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a university co-op or college program requiring a placement for credit
• Strong communications and research skills
• Knowledge in software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects
• Experience shooting in a variety of settings, including interviews, press conferences and fast-action footage is an asset
• Organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to work proficiently on Mac operating system
• Flexible work hours required (Ability to work evenings, weekends and game nights as required)
• Bilingualism is an asset
