DESCRIPTIONWe are currently looking for an Assistant Controller to join the Finance team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. This position is based out of our office in Montreal, Quebec.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles.
- Preparation of financial statements, analyses and reports required by regulatory agencies and corporate office
- Responsible for cash management and forecasting
- Responsible for maintaining a documented system of controls over accounting transactions, policies and procedures
- Responsible for the preparation for internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations, and address any audit queries
- Responsible for assisting our third-party tax preparer and maintaining a schedule of tax return deadlines
- Assist in the development of accounting procedures and strategies to improve efficiency by exploring new tools and software
- Other ad hoc projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage numerous priorities at once and be able to multitask effectively
- Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth
- Ability to remain current and knowledgeable on trending topics in accounting
- Proficiency in MS office applications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a major in Accounting
- CPA accounting designation
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting
