Job Description

Mandate:
Reporting to the Customs Manager, the Customs Associate is responsible for gathering the information needed to complete the rating and clearances of shipments and communicates this information directly to a portfolio of clients. The associate must have a basic understanding of customs processes in order to deal with possible client issues and resolve them. The associate will also collaborate with internal customs raters as well as the freight department in order to ensure the accuracy of information needed to clear a given shipment.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in customer service activities related to customs services
• Familiarity with import customs documents
• Computer skills for mainframe and/or PC based systems
• Proficiency in MS Office
• CCS designation is considered an asset
