We have an opportunity for an Events and Brand Activation Specialist role to join our Marketing Team.

As the Event and Brand Activation Specialist, you’re a project manager that can collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments, including our Sales teams, Growth, Content Group and Branded Editions, to own the production of trade shows and internal and external events. You are capable of handling multiple projects at the same time, prioritizing effort and offering problem-solving and creative guidance.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the production and logistics of various activations, including trade shows and other internal and external events that align with the overall PressReader business strategy and drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Own the events calendar and act as a liaison between our Sales, Marketing and Growth teams to guarantee smooth delivery of trade shows and post-event reporting
  • Work with external suppliers and vendors to guarantee the production of external and internal events
  • Work cross-functionally to share, advise and leverage best practices for events and overall brand activation, both for external and internal events
  • Collaborate on creating briefs for activation and marketing communications initiatives with our Product Marketing, Content Marketing and Creative functions
  • Coordinate and execute integrated marketing programs to create impactful experiential events, product launches, and other activations in collaboration with stakeholders within the Marketing, Growth teams and across the organization

You are a great fit if you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in activation, sales, promotion, or marketing roles
  • Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate projects, approaching tasks with a proactive can-do attitude.
  • The capability to navigate ambiguity and demonstrates flexibility in diverse situations.
  • A growth mindset, actively pursuing continuous improvement, and excels as an independent self-starter.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data for informed decision-making and contributing to continuous enhancement of processes and event performance
  • A highly creative, authentic, and innovative approach to developing and implementing activation strategies
  • Keen attention to detail coupled with the ability to grasp the broader picture
  • A positive, upbeat demeanor with a good sense of humor.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience with budget management
  • Have experience working in the travel, libraries, tech and/or publishing industry
  • Have completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector

The pay range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.
