Reporting to the Director of Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Integrations, the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for the end to end development and maintenance of enterprise level reporting/dashboards as well as the opportunity for ad-hoc analysis. Working with the latest technology from the Google stack (GCP, BigQuery, Looker,etc) the BI Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements in the development of enterprise BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions
- Report and Dashboard development:
- Design, develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using industry standard BI tools (e.g. Looker, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting
- KPI: Wll be measured on accuracy of estimates and ability to deliver on time
- Data Modelling and Database Management:
- Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics
- Collaborate with Data Engineering team to optimize data structure and ensure data integrity
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users of BI Tools and reporting solutions
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst or Analytics role.
- Professional experience with SQL (required) and or equivalent programming languages (Python, R,etc)
- Professional experience with reporting and dashboarding tools: Looker (preferred), Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Spotfire.
- Professional experience with cloud computing: GCP (BigQuery)(Preferred), Azure, AWS.
- Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside of main job requirements when necessary
- Assertive, adaptable, and demonstrate initiative in a fast paced environment Ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and procedures
- Knowledge of Google Suite/ Microsoft Office Suite
- This is a hybrid role with in-person attendance between 3-5 days per week (Downtown Toronto)
