The Role
Porta is looking for a detail oriented and driven Supply Chain Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring seamless operations and enhancing efficiency. In this role, you will contribute to the enhancing overall supply chain efficiency while monitoring and assessing potential risks in the supply chain.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze and interpret data related to ingredients, suppliers and quality certifications to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Supplier Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier certifications, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with suppliers to improve delivery times and quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the supply chain and propose and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and reduce costs.
- Technology Utilization: Wherefour expertise and leveraging of supply chain management software and tools to automate processes and enhance decision-making
- Forecasting: Utilization of market trends to forecast demand. Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support production planning.
- Purchase Orders/Inventory/Lead Time: Source and procure raw materials and packaging supplies, negotiate and evaluate select vendors.
- Scheduling Production: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand.
- Material Resource Planning (MRP): Implement and manage MRP systems and coordinate with various departments to align MRP with production schedule. Identify and address potential material shortages or excesses.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key supplier performance metrics to management and provide insights for decision-making.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure alignment and effective communication with the supply chain.
- Risk Management: Monitor and assess potential risks in the supply chain and other external influences and implement risk mitigation strategies

Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent (Asset: Bachelor's in Business, CSCP certification)
- ERP, MRP and MPS experience
- Organized, logical, critical thinker with excellent communication ability
- Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail and a can do attitude
- Ability to collaborate with various cross-functional partners (production, customer service teams)
- Proactive and conscientious able to identify process improvement and risk management
- Schedule flexibility able to be on call as needed for emergency situations
- Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic company environment
