Senior Web Developer(Node React) - Hybrid
Prodigy Labs, Canada

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack JavaScript developer who is proficient in React.js and NodeJS that is passionate about providing intuitive, joyful software that will have a real impact on the way our bank does business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and technical implementation of front end components and user interfaces, creating innovative solutions that engage our users and support analytic problem solving and complex data visualizations.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position and will require at least 2 days in the office per week. Successful candidates will need to complete a background check.

• Design and develop the web interface for new and existing applications.
• Design and develop Backend components / services for new and existing applications.
• Create quality mockups and prototypes.
• Write clean code that is maintainable, extensible, and complies to best practice and security.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize web interface for maximum speed and scalability.
• Monitor for and solve web app performance issues.
• Collaborate with business users and the development team in an Agile environment.

Job Requirements

Must Have skills amp; Experience:

• 5 + years of front end and back-end development experience with web applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript, React.js and Node.js with knowledge of other industry standard frameworks.
• Extensive experience with React as front end framework, deep understanding of React.js, Redux, Sagas and ES6 and tools such as Babel, WebPack, NPM, Yarn.
• Extensive experience with Node.js and TypeORM.
• Experience with data visualization frameworks such as D3 and RESTful APIs
• Experience with unit testing libraries such as Mocha, Jest, Chai, Enzyme
• Good understanding of version control and source code management using Git.
• Experience working with Azure PaaS, Azure SQL, Azure BLOB.
