Position Overview
We're seeking a Vice President of Product to join our executive team, reporting directly to the Executive Team. This role is ideal for a highly driven individual with a deep expertise in SaaS platforms, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Big Data. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision amp; Leadership
- Collaborate with the executive team to craft the product vision
- Lead cross-functional teams to align and execute on this vision, ensuring it aligns with overall company objectives.
- Represent the Engineering/Ramp;D function to key external stakeholders
- Regularly interact with customers and users to gather feedback and insights, integrating them into the product vision and roadmap.
- Build organizational capability within the engineering teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and creating an environment where that talent can thrive and collaborate by providing mentoring, training, and other opportunities for professional growth and development
- Understand the company’s protectable technologies and core technical competencies and in collaboration with Legal, manage the company’s patent portfolio.
- Product Roadmap amp; Scalability
- Develop and execute a product roadmap with a strong emphasis on Machine Learning, Generative AI, and scalability.
- Incorporate user experience and design thinking principles into the product development process.
- Foster an agile and adaptive development environment, promoting rapid iteration and responsiveness to market changes.
- Champion technical best practices in partnership with engineering leaders across mobile, front end, backend, platform, SRE, security, privacy, data engineering, QA, and IT amp; DevOps
- Ensure products and systems are trusted and meet all industry standards for compliance, trust and safety
- Drive continuous improvement in software development, resilience, and operational activities
- Balance rapid product innovation and architecture to minimize technical and product debt
- Perform competitive analysis to ensure the company has the freedom to practice its core technologies without infringing on existing patents
- Collaborate and lead technical due diligence for potential Mamp;A deals
- Be a thought leader, contributing technical updates and product information for both internal and external audiences
- Machine Learning amp; Generative AI Expertise
- Drive the integration of Machine Learning and Generative AI into product development initiatives.
- Utilize Machine Learning and Generative AI to create unique value propositions and differentiators for the company's products or services.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in Machine Learning and Generative AI to keep the company at the cutting edge of technology.
- Partner amp; Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with key partners, to ensure product alignment and collaborative innovation.
- Budget amp; Resource Management
- Manage the budget for product development initiatives
- Conduct ROI analysis and strategic resource allocation to prioritize high-impact projects and initiatives.
- Implement a budgeting approach that balances innovation, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership amp; Development
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation
- Define and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for innovation, product development effectiveness, and market impact.
Requirements
- Education amp; Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in SaaS platforms and Machine Learning/Generative AI is essential.
