Reporting directly to the Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer, the VP, Third Party Relationships (TPR) is accountable for the TPR strategy commensurate with ATB’s purpose and strategic objectives. The VP, TPR is a strategic partner to ATB’s senior leaders, and provides thought leadership on third party relationship management, strategic sourcing, third party risk management and sustainable procurement. You will leverage market insights, foster innovation, drive sustainable procurement practices, and optimize third party relationships to drive strategic business plans. You will set the vision for efficiently and effectively sourcing goods and services, while managing third party risks and relationships, to optimize value, drive cost efficiencies, and facilitate innovation.

Accountabilities include:

Strategic Vision

  • Guide the development and execution of a third party relationship strategy that aligns with ATB's Path to 2030, Strategic Pillars and third party relationship goals, with a focus on sustainable procurement
  • In support of the Platform strategic pillar and marketplace strategy, partner with key stakeholders to govern and implement the appropriate strategy for the next generation of third party relationships
  • Enable practices that will deepen strategic partnerships and drive differentiated value from key third party relationships

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the Strategic Sourcing, Third Party Management, and Third Party Risk Management teams to achieve operational effectiveness across the broad base of engagements while developing and balancing the risk profile of the third party portfolio
  • Prioritize and optimize TPR initiatives and process evolution to drive efficiency, value creation, risk mitigation, innovation and sustainable procurement, thus contributing to enterprise goals

Research and Insights

  • Sensing, scanning and synthesizing industry best practices and global standards to identify relevant insights and bring thought leadership into ATB’s third party practice
  • Enabling the use of analytics and market intelligence to make informed third party relationship recommendations, drive continuous improvement and enhance the overall strategic position of the organization

Relationship Management

  • Partner, cooperate , and build strong relationships with stakeholders to integrate third party relationship strategies with broader organizational goals, fostering a cohesive and agile business ecosystem
  • Advance and foster strategic partnerships with key third parties, fostering cooperation and value-motivated relationships that promote mutual growth and innovation
  • Represent the company in external forums, conferences, and industry events related to Third Party Relationships

Ethical and Sustainable Practices

  • Advocate for ethical and sustainable procurement practices, integrating environmental, social, and governance (EGS) considerations into the third party relationship process to assist ATB’s dedication to corporate social tasks and sustainable development
  • Cooperate frequently with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable third party relationship practices and evaluate supplier performance based on established criteria, including ESG criteria

Talent Development and Team Management

  • Cultivate a high-performing TPR team by fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and leadership excellence, fostering a talent pool capable of driving transformative change
