Job Description

Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning amp; Reporting Asset Management

Reporting To: Director, Finance Asset Management

Division/Department: Finance amp; Accounting

Location: Toronto

The management team has overseen development across several asset classes including for-sale residential, seniors housing, office, retail, and industrial, providing Graywood with first-class depth and breadth of experience.

In 2023, Graywood launched the Asset Management platform, and we are our looking for a Manager, Financial Planning amp; Reporting who will be responsible for the oversight and management of various portfolio and corporate reporting streams.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budget analysis.
  • Ensure management reporting is delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights to improve performance.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and assess their impact on financial performance.
  • Assess investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Support business leaders with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Evaluate portfolio performance and market conditions to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor economic factors affecting the industry and financial markets.
  • Assist in projecting scenarios of property acquisitions and dispositions and participate in the due diligence and statement of adjustment phases, as required.
  • Assist with the implementation of new technology and initial set-up as required.

General

  • Carry out additional ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

Person Specification

Knowledge amp; Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of real estate experience or financial reporting.
  • Asset management experience is an asset.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven self-starter with ability to adapt to evolving scope of responsibilities within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
  • Previous exposure to reporting tools/systems would be an asset (e.g., Vermillion, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA)
