Fengate is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning amp; Analysis to join their growing Corporate Finance team. This role will report to the Vice President of FPamp;A, Corporate Finance. The successful candidate will provide financial direction and insight to enable stakeholders to make the decisions that matter. They will be providing analysis and planning support in order to maintain and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and performance of the business as a whole. This individual will also be responsible for providing divisional FPamp;A support; working closely alongside the group heads to report on the overall performance of their teams
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the following financial models:
- Fiscal budget (at the consolidated and business unit levels)
- Quarterly variance analysis report
- Quarterly fiscal forecast
- Rolling 12 month cash flow forecast
- 5 year long-term forecast
- Use data and make recommendations to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
- Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary
- Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies, including monitor forecast accuracy, understand drivers of variances, and provide insightful commentary amp; analysis for both current period and future periods
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements
- You challenge business partner plans and assumptions when needed. You navigate across organizations and identify the right teams to participate in discussions. You establish relationships with business partners and proactively address issues
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives
- You identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- Experience of financial management reporting and planning
- Analytical with strong data and excel skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Business partnering amp; stakeholder management
- Solution focussed and forward thinker
- Commercially astute
- Experience in a complex business
- Qualified Accountant (CPA and/or CA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel modelling skills, ability to construct professional PowerPoint presentations and then present them to senior stakeholders, internal and external
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a simple and concise manner for presentation and discussions with senior management and other nonfinancial business leaders
- Experience with NetSuite is beneficial but not required
