Role: Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET)

Reports to: Senior Director, Software Engineering

We are looking for a Senior .NET Full Stack Developer. We are a small venture-backed company located in Downtown Toronto. We are looking for candidates with approximately 5-10 years of experience, with at least 2-4 years focused on full-stack web application development. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working with our team to help solve challenging business problems for our clients as we grow and scale our SaaS application.

We have adopted a hybrid working model, and the position will work both from home and from our downtown Toronto office located at 2 Carlton Street. (Conveniently located above the College subway station at Yonge amp; College.)

Condo Control is a Canadian company that provides an online communication and property management software for condominiums, co-ops and HOAs. Condo Control provides a SaaS platform that helps property managers, board members, security and condo owners communicate quickly and easily. Our comprehensive software platform addresses all aspects of condo living, from communications and announcements, to tracking of visitors, packages, bookings, payments, and more. Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, prototype, program, test, troubleshoot and support - the complete software lifecycle in your hands!
  • Envision and deliver new features by working, as part of a Scrum team that believes in continuous improvement
  • Create and enhance a scalable SaaS enterprise application
  • Help decide the technologies, approaches, and architecture as we modernize the entire stack. We are early in this journey and need to bring on opinionated people with experiences they want to share
  • Assess risks and impacts on the existing system as new functionality is added
  • Perform code reviews and provide architectural guidance to the team
  • Mentor and coach other technical team members and junior developers, especially in elevating their technical skills
  • Actively work to improve code, unit testing, and product quality
  • Drive a culture with a commitment to quality and world class product experiences
  • Improve development processes to support on time delivery of high-quality products

Requirements

  • Approximately 5-10 years working in C# development. You are experienced in the .NET/Microsoft Stack. (We will consider experience with other languages such as Java, Python etc.)
  • Experienced full stack developer (at least 4+ years focused on full stack end to end web development)
  • Strong coding skills for web services, object-oriented programming and APIs
  • Extensive experience with .Net, C#, Redis, SQL Server, Azure
  • Experience with the overall Microsoft Technology Stack (IIS, SQL Server, C#, .NET, .NET Core)
  • Experience with one or more modern JavaScript libraries such as React, Vue.js, Angular, etc. is an asset
  • Experience with HTML5, TypeScript / JavaScript, CSS in a complex user interface
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Kendo, etc.
  • Excellent at troubleshooting / problem solving / root cause analysis
  • Experience coaching junior team members
  • Fast learner - interested and willing to learn
  • Familiar with Agile Development and CI/CD
  • Experience working at a SaaS company is an asset but not required
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with Microservices Architecture and/or migration to Microservices
  • Strong communication skills - listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player / strong collaborator
  • Quality mindset and a passion for unit testing and clean code
