Job Description

  • To plan and assist in the implementation of a rigorous, preventative maintenance program as well as a predictive maintenance program to minimize the plant’s downtime.
  • Troubleshoot all phases of pneumatic and hydraulic systems of all plant equipment.
  • Work alongside, give direction, and/or assist outside contractors who have been hired to assist the organization.
  • Have a solid understanding and the ability to program and troubleshoot in-plant PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
  • Dismantle, clean, and re-assemble equipment as needed.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up.
  • Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment, or processes in order to facilitate production.
  • Coordinate and report on all equipment defects and/or failures to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in workplace safety and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety standards in accordance with current legislation and Health and Safety Policy and best practices.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Good mathematical skills
  • Manual dexterity ability to use common tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a Licensed Industrial Millwright.
  • Minimum 5 years' Industrial Millwright experience required with preference given to those with a background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Shifts:

(Day: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm) and (Afternoon: 3 pm - 11:30 pm)

This role is subject to an assessment of skills and qualifications by following 60 working days probationary period.
