The Scouten Story:
Scouten Engineering is a dynamic consulting civil and structural engineering firm based in Prince George, British Columbia.
We have been successfully meeting the structural and civil engineering consulting needs of our clients since 1995. Our people provide well thought-out solutions to challenging situations. Our work has helped us earn a reputation as the creative problem solvers company.
We have worked on a long list of challenging engineering projects including; industrial structures, buildings, reservoirs, resource roads, heavy civil structures, retaining walls, piping systems, water supply, sanitary and storm sewers, roads and yes, even parking lots.
The services we provide our clients in addition to ‘nuts and bolts’ civil and structural engineering include; Cause and Origin assessments, expert testimony, feasibility studies, detailed design drawings and specifications, tender and contract administration, site plans, terrain models, and grading plans.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be currently registered, or eligible to be registered, as a professional engineer (P. Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
Projects will be a blend of both structural (primarily) and civil (secondary) work such as: buildings, resource sector and highway bridges, machine bases and foundations, platforms, and site development and utility services.
This position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clearly written correspondence, engineering reports and technical studies, and to communicate effectively face-to-face with clients. You will be expected to work independently, and delegate engineering and drafting assignments to members of our team. You will also be expected to provide mentorship to the other staff including junior engineers and technologist.
This position includes working in a modern, well equipped consulting engineering office with the opportunity for occasional field work, including travel around beautiful central and northern British Columbia, and occasionally Alberta, Yukon, and Saskatchewan.
