The role

As the People Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the employee lifecycle processes at Neo beginning from onboarding to offboarding. You will play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our HRIS, working closely with different stakeholders to ensure that the system continues to service the organization’s needs as we continue to scale. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you’ll play a crucial part in execution of People projects and initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the development of processes for our end-to-end employee lifecycle to help enhance our overall employee experience.
  • Provide input to development of department strategies and plans, and lead projects/initiatives that support goals and objectives. Develop reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed on program achievements, status of key initiatives, and emerging trends.
  • Develop and lead a team of people operations generalists/coordinators to deliver effective people management processes, best practices, standards, and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with other People Team leaders to support a strategic, integrated, and broad approach to all program planning, development and delivery. Build a trusted, collaborative and supportive team approach with all other People Team functions.
  • Subject Matter Expert and owner of HRIS system including identifying areas of optimization, ensuring department adoption of processes and organization wide training on the system.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the overall operations of the People team from a process and technology lens. This can include automation, process/system efficiencies, knowledge management to elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Oversee Immigration Program for Neo, including maintaining relationships with vendors, process Responsible for office and facilities management with the support of the Procurement and Facilities Coordinator to maintain effective operation of the offices across two provinces.
  • Lead Health amp; Safety Committee, ensuring training is in place for all staff and Neo is compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Participate in special projects for the People Team as required.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5+ years experience in HR Operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Track record of systematization and standardization of People processes and tools
  • Experience implementing/configuring HRIS and Talent systems
  • Experience with employee data management and HR analytics
  • Experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to guide teams through periods of change and transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce will be considered an asset
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
