Job Description

The Role
Porta is looking for a detail oriented and driven Sales Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will play a crucial role in the success of our sales initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize sales strategies and drive revenue growth. The candidate will be responsible for:

Sales Reporting amp; Insights:

  • Develop and own all sales and industry reporting and identify weekly actionable insights
  • Evaluate weekly/monthly customer POS data, summarizing trends and business opportunities

Customer amp; Product Launches:

  • Execute the entire commercialization process with customers, from customer onboarding, GS1 setup, new item set-up, etc., within established deadlines
  • Lead post-launch summaries and analysis to share with the broader team

Account Management:

  • Own relationship with independent customers and distributors, managing new item sell-in, ongoing successful execution, monitoring performance, etc.
  • Support Account Managers in trade and promotional planning and execution, forecasting, annual business reviews, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects as required

Store Execution:

  • Manage relationship with Field Merchandising Team, providing focused monthly priorities, merchandising calendars, and sharing feedback with the broader team
  • Connect with our retailer partners in stores to foster our relationship and seek product and performance feedback via monthly in-store visits
  • Partner with customers to drive in-store awareness via POS, Customized Offers, Ads, etc. and liaise with Marketing to execute

Requirements

  • University Bachelor’s Degree, business degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of CPG sales or Retail experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power Point)
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to summarize various data sources into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Strategic thinker; business and financial acumen

Skills

  • Impactful verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Nielsen, Retail Link, LDIA an asset
  • Self-starter and ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Collaborative team player
