As a Machine Learning amp; Data Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to build systems, data pipelines, and software services supporting machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, advanced analytics, and data processing. You will support the data initiatives for game services, products, games, and internal functions across the organization.

This role sits on PTW’s Artificial Intelligence team and reports to the Head of Artificial Intelligence. The team serves as the hub for AI and machine learning across the entire organization and all our brands. We collaborate on cross-functional projects that range from internal tools to user-facing product features. You will partner with data scientists, engineering teams, and product teams to design and instrument telemetry, create data pipelines, and deploy and maintain machine learning services. Your work will be the foundation that enables us to build and deploy AI and data products that bring cutting-edge innovations to how we run our operations, optimize our strategy and products, and deliver highly personalized experiences to delight users.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the design of warehouse data models to support data scientists and analysts.
• Ensure data quality cleanliness by building reliable, sustainable pipelines with robust quality control.
• Support infrastructure engineers to design ingestion pipelines for of a wide variety of downstream use-cases.
• Partner with service engineers to design and instrument telemetry.
• Collaborate with product engineers and data scientists to deploy and integrate services powering machine learning and AI models.
• Define MLOps and development best practices for the organization.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of relevant work experience supporting data and machine learning teams.
• A mix of ML services engineering, data engineering, and infrastructure skills
• Deep expertise using SQL and similar languages.

• Experience building and maintaining software and services in languages like Python or similar languages.
• Experience with data warehousing, processing, pipelines, and data quality monitoring at scale

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with a wide variety of data processing and storage systems (S3, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Metastores, etc)
• Experience with data pipelining and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
• Experience deploying cloud services (AWS / GCP / Azure) as code (Terraform, Ansible) using container technologies (Docker / Kubernetes)
