Position Title: Senior Software Engineer Automotive Infotainment (Bluetooth)

Role Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving in-vehicle Infotainment platform connectivity software design, development and integration using industry-standard methodologies. You will work closely with technical fellow, architect, system engineer, technical program manager, product manager, testing teams, and with external stakeholders suppliers, partners (Google, Apple), Bluetooth SIG, etc. to develop the next generation of embedded platform software to deliver state of the art Infotainment features on the SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software architect and requirement definition.
  • Design and develop embedded Bluetooth and/or DCM (Device Connection Manager) software for automotive infotainment systems on Android/Linux platform.
  • Lead new feature study, feasibility analysis, Proof of Concept (PoC), feature breakdown, effort estimate and Demo.
  • Maintain existing software code base and contribute to Android pastry upgrade each year.
  • Lead software issue root cause analysis across bench and vehicle level issues and provide end to end solution.
  • Perform unit and functional level testing of the software changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams abide by Scrum/Agile development methodologies and engage in all scrum team activities using the Scrum/Agile process/tools.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel (U.S) upon required.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience developing middleware for embedded platforms primarily using Java, C++, or C.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented software development with a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience working with large code bases, including developing new features and debugging existing code.
  • Knowledge of software platform development, particularly Linux and Android platforms.
  • Familiarity with Android development toolkit, development and test frameworks, and processes.
  • Proficient in CI/CD process and SCM tools, such as GIT, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile software development processes.
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience with Bluetooth is a plus.
  • Experience with the integration of Android framework and device bring up is a plus.
  • Experience with the development of automotive infotainment solutions is a plus.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
