Executive Assistant - Instructional Services

Lethbridge School Division is looking for the ideal candidate for the position of Executive Assistant to the Associate Superintendent, Department of Instructional Services reporting to the Associate Superintendent. This dynamic and engaging candidate will have strong technical skills, sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of budgeting, accounting systems and purchase order processing.

The Role
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for administrative functions supporting the Associate Superintendent. As a member of our DIS team, the successful candidate will focus on employee relations, government reporting, maintenance of software specific databases in addition to a variety of Instructional Services generalist functions. The Executive Assistant should have experience in a school division, be a strong team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, possess strong oral and written communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate must have proven administrative skills, be highly confidential, a self-starter, personable, able to deal with the public and be a team player. The individual must be flexible, decisive, be able to multi-task and display a high level of initiative and maturity. A strong technology background is essential, including intermediate level skills in spreadsheets and databases. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker and willing to find creative solutions.
