We have a rare opportunity for a Design Drafter to join our growing team!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Produces accurate work and has a high level of technical expertise.
  • Thrives in building close, lasting professional relationships with peers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting equipment.
  • Produce three-dimensional models using CAD software.
  • Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a design / manufacturing environment.
  • Degree, diploma from a recognized institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge / understanding and demonstrable application of manufacturing drafting (control, methods, automation) and processes.
  • Knowledge / understanding of technical writing of manufacturing documents.
  • Knowledge / understanding of small engine components (mechanical and electrical).
  • 2D and 3D software experience (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
