As we continue to expand our services, we are looking for a talented Business Analyst to join Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), in our downtown Toronto office located in Financial District, reporting to the Managing Director. We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst who is passionate about understanding and improving business processes and has a strong background in IT consulting and cybersecurity. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to analyze their business needs, identify opportunities for technology-driven solutions, and bridge the gap between business and IT teams to deliver successful projects.

Sopra Steria Infrastructure amp; Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities. It plays a key role in Sopra Steria's end-to-end services. With 3,000 employees, Sopra Steria I2S stands out for the flexibility of its delivery model, combining client proximity from our 8 agencies with the advanced industrial capabilities of our offshore service centers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients by understanding their objectives, challenges, and constraints - to elicit, document, and validate their business and technical requirements
  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization aligned with cybersecurity and compliance requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and propose technology solutions that address business challenges, improve efficiency, and enhance security
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including business requirements documents, use cases, process flowcharts, and technical specifications
  • Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and project management activities - collaborate with project managers to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT consulting and/or cybersecurity projects
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity principles, and business processes
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus
  • Organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively in a challenging environment to drumbeat the activity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
  • Previous work in a multicultural environment
  • English required / French is a plus
