THE ROLE:
We are currently seeking a Junior Recruiter to work alongside our Recruitment team and conduct screening interviews for all open positions. This role will require a candidate with expert communication skills, and who maintains excellent judgment and the ability to identify the best-suited people within an extensive set of data. You will be responsible for building relationships, proactively building a strong network, and assisting with improving our internal processes to continuously enhance recruitment and build our presence as an employer of choice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct screening interviews via phone and video calls, with the possibility of in-person interviews.
- Provide comprehensive written reviews of each candidate after their interview to communicate their work history, education, skills, experience, and personality type to various departments.
- Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with hiring managers and external resources.
- Maintain exemplary data consistency and ensure the Applicant Tracking System is always up to date; leverage current ATS tools and technology.
- Ensure all interviews run smoothly and are in accordance with Nuovo Photography policies.
- Prepare for each interview by reviewing the candidate’s application, and prepare individualized questions, arrangements, and/or tasks to best meet the hiring needs of the role.
- Ensure the job seeker has a clear and complete understanding of the role requirements and responsibilities, as well as a clear understanding of the hiring pipeline.
- Check applicant's references.
- Source potential candidates for open positions, as needed.
- Provide an exceptional candidate and client experience through the recruitment process.
- Maintain active communication with passive and active candidates to develop a qualified pipeline for current and future hiring opportunities.
- This is NOT a 360 recruitment position.
As a Junior Recruiter, your tasks, roles and responsibilities can vary depending on the time of the year, number of open positions, and type of role we are looking to fill. The ultimate goal is to create a good experience for the candidate and facilitate hiring the best person for the position.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong conversational skills [verbal and written - English Mandatory].
- High emotional intelligence and a strong persuasive communicator.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure with a high volume of recruitment.
- Understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods.
- Negotiation skills.
ASSETS:
- Bilingual in either French and English, or English and Spanish; trilingual considered a notable asset.
- Background in public-speaking and/or in employment interviewing.
- Experience working for a Recruitment Agency.
- Knowledge of/experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Flexible schedule; freedom to work evenings and weekends as needed.
