The Role

We’re looking for a senior operations leader to bring their expertise and leadership skills to our team, based in Calgary, AB. As the Vice President, Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our company's operations, ensuring the effective and efficient management of resources, processes, and systems. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, enhancing productivity, and achieving organizational objectives while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with executive and senior leaders, you will participate in setting, driving, and evolving the organizational vision, mission, and strategy
  • Through close collaboration with product and marketing teams, you will drive the development and implementation of operational strategies, initiatives, and plans to support business growth and profitability
  • With a focus on operational excellence, effective resource management, and cross-functional collaboration, you will drive the execution of company priorities and transformational change initiatives
  • With a thorough understanding of the customer value proposition and will ensure operational teams are capable of delivering on the desired customer experience to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • By remaining in tune with market trends and regulatory changes that may impact operations, you will anticipate, prepare for, and drive major change initiatives to minimize disruption while leveraging upside opportunities
  • As a key senior leader and influential presence across the business, you will help create a culture of ownership, teamwork, and the highest standards of integrity

Who we are looking for:

  • You possess 8 years of senior management experience in the tech, fintech, or financial services industry
  • Ability to motivate, organize, and respond to employees of many different areas of expertise
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or higher academic certification in business, economics, finance, or a related discipline
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be an asset
  • You are highly analytical, operationally oriented, and metrics-driven, and utilize these skills to push the limits by refusing to settle for the status quo
  • You are (very nearly) a perfectionist while also being pragmatic with a strong belief that 'there is always better' that permeates everything you do
  • You are an adaptable, high-achiever energized by a startup environment
  • You have a love for data - and the insights it can bring to the forefront
