Product Manager

As a Product Manager at REDspace, you wear many hats. You are at the heart of our product development process and a visionary tasked with crafting a compelling product direction that aligns with our goals. Collaborating seamlessly with internal teams, you anticipate challenges and ensure strategic alignment. This is a hybrid role that will be based out of our office in Bedford, NS.

You're a seasoned professional in the industry, diving deep into market trends and refining our strategy for maximum impact. A meticulous planner, you will be responsible for prioritizing features and managing the budget effectively.

About the Role.

  • Develop a compelling product vision aligned with company goals.
  • Communicate and refine a roadmap for future product enhancements, defining clear strategies for product success.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders to anticipate challenges and provide solutions.
  • Work with finance, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Garner support for the product vision internally and externally.
  • Understand the target market and customer needs.
  • Solicit feedback from customers on products and services.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the product team.
  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
  • Present product updates, status, and strategies to executive leadership.
  • Prioritize features based on customer value and business impact.
  • Refine user stories and contribute to product backlog prioritization.
  • Coordinate product launches and releases.
  • Develop and manage the product budget.
  • Adjust pricing based on market conditions and customer feedback.
  • Research and pursue government funding opportunities.
  • Continuously improve the product based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure product quality meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Lead product managers and collaborate with engineering, marketing, and other teams.
  • Advocate for a positive user experience and collaborate with UX/UI designers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from customers and internal teams.
  • Iterate on features and functionalities based on feedback.
  • Drive product launches in collaboration with PR teams, executives, and other product management team members.
  • Evaluate promotional plans for consistency with product line strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling messaging and materials.
  • Execute go-to-market strategies for new product releases.

Skills/experience.

  • Undergraduate degree in any of the following: Computer Science, Engineering, or completion of a diploma program from a recognized post secondary institution (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5+ years proven work experience in product management.
  • Track record of managing successful products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ability to develop and communicate product and marketing strategies effectively.
  • Strong technical background with understanding of software development and web technologies.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of product development processes, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead large teams.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products that have achieved market success.
  • Has managed a cross-functional team of technical resources.
  • Knowledge of government funding processes and experience securing funding for product development initiatives.
