JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the project management, from project assignment to project completion, to ensure on-time and on-budget project completion. The Senior Project Manager will ensure on-time and on-budget project completion, and overall customer satisfaction. It is crucial that our Senior Project Managers promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all work is completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Work directly with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Hamp;S, and Customers on the seamless execution of landed projects.
Ensure all Field crews have all the equipment, materials, and appropriately skilled personnel to complete the project.
Supervise and direct Project Coordinators where applicable.
Work in a safe manner amp; adhere to all safety policies amp; procedures
Adhere to all Project Management policies and procedures, and looking for opportunities for improvement
Review projects with Project Coordinators, Foremen and onsite crews
Provide mentorship, coaching and training to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Foreman and Lead Hands as needed.
Work with Field Services scheduler, Purchasing etc. to resolve any anticipated staffing needs/changes and material purchases to avoid project delays.
Responsible for quality control of all completed work both onsite and in-house.
Gather all necessary project information and costs for the purposes of compiling and writing up change notices and out of scope work (extras).
Work with Purchasing, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
Work with TMG Finance team to ensure all paperwork (customer files, job files and quotes) are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Participate in weekly production meetings.
May prepare accurate job estimates as part of an assigned portfolio
Assist in obtaining new customers as requested
Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the Company
All other duties as required
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE amp; QUALIFICATIONS
At least 10 years of project management experience
Relevant industry work experience
Post-secondary education preferred with a background in project management, mechanical design or engineering
Relevant trade certification an asset
PMP certification or desire to pursue
Knowledge of electrical industry and electrical design principles
First Aid trained
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, time and budget management skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD True View.
Familiarity with ERP systems with preference for experience working with Microsoft NAV Dynamics
Willing and able to travel to customer locations as needed
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
