We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager role, to join our Content Solutions team.

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on the growth of our Content Solutions B2B vertical, concentrating on delivering solutions for media monitoring and metrics, public relations and related clientele. You will be responsible for sales (new and renewal), existing client and product management, and the development of future product offerings. If you’re a proactive and detail-oriented individual, who wants to grow within a B2B team, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.

In this role, you will:

Sales

  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing client base to up-sell, cross-sell and drive incremental revenue, while maintaining existing relationships and revenue base.
  • Establish a pipeline of new business opportunities with existing products by prospecting, cold calling, through incoming lead, and participating in various forums and events related to the business.
  • Achieve assigned targets for prospecting activity, pipeline development, and sales.
  • Identify key decision-makers, schedule consultative discussions, and evaluate readiness for purchasing.
  • Collaborate on pricing structure for product offerings, including development of specialized pricing options by region and targeted customer cohorts.

Product Evolution

  • Share insights and partner feedback with a view to influencing product development and steering delivery
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions and assess ideas regarding new or improved product offerings to promote vertical growth.
  • Play an active role in the design, planning, testing, and launch of potential new products supporting the vertical.

Overall

  • Cultivate and maintain a strong working relationship with various internal teams, including Content Group, B2B Sales Team, Product and Engineering.
  • Participate and represent PressReader at various trade events, including conferences, expos and direct face to face meetings with clients.
  • Conduct research and offer thought leadership and insights for internal presentations on various topics as assigned and when necessary.
  • Solicit and provide feedback from and to team members to help refine sales pitch and positioning.
  • Track progress through various tools, including CRM, and provide all relevant information to ensure timely billing and collection of invoiced sales.

You are a great fit if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Content, SaaS, Corporate, Enterprise, or Government sales
  • A proficiency in CRM software (such as Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on efficiency
  • A goal-oriented and self-motivated attitude
  • The ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive mindset and a collaborative approach
  • The ability to travel internationally as needed

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field
  • A proficiency in a second language (such as German, French, Italian, Dutch, or an Asian language)
  • Demonstrated tech-savviness
  • A keen interest in published media, media intelligence, or analytics
