We have a 15-month temporary full-time opportunity for an NOC/XML Operator and Coordinator to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC) team. This position is on a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and night shifts.

In this role you will:

  • Be involved with the production and processing of digital newspapers and magazines replicas from around the world
  • Handle the execution of quality control and assurance measures adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Provide technical support and services to our international clients and publishing partners
  • Oversee the administration, installation, maintenance and support of PressReader products and applications
  • Liaise and collaborate with multiple internal and remote XML teams (Russia and the Philippines)
  • Review XML e-mail escalations, ensure they are being handled in a timely manner
  • Perform XML testing of newspapers and magazines replicas from around the world
  • Conduct the execution of quality control and assurance measures adhering to Service Level Agreements

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Technical and client support experience via email, phone, remote connection tools
  • Understanding of basic networking protocols such as FTP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Environment and Operating Systems
  • Troubleshooting experience in a Windows network environment
  • Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language
  • Ability to multitasking and prioritize competing tasks
  • Ability to collaborate well with others and require minimal supervision
  • 1-3 years of Technical Support experience

Bonus points if you:

  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computing Science or related field
  • Own a reliable transportation to work as some shifts are beyond public transportation hours
  • Easily adapt to a dynamic environment with constantly changing duties and priorities
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector

PressReader is committed to providing a fair compensation package which includes a 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefit plan; 15 paid vacation days to start; health and wellness days and bereavement days; reimbursements for professional training and membership in professional associations; fitness subsidy and more, along with a chance to be working with amazing people. The yearly pay for this role is $55,000.
