IT Support Hardware Technician - 6 month contract

Main Responsibilities
- Onsite hardware and office setup/takedown;
- Preparation of equipment for production projects and support services;
- Preparation of equipment for shipments to remote workers;
- Respond to user queries sent by HelpDesk ticket, phone, email or chat, or reported in person;
- Handle onsite reboots/replacements/cabling for equipement maintained in dedicated PC farms;
- Manage, take charge of and be responsible for the resolution of hardware IT problems;
- Troubleshoot user issues on computers, laptops, consoles, mobile devices;
- Inventory management;
- This role sometimes requires physical work to prepare desk layout for project setups and to build the environment used for PC farms.
Requirements
- Able to follow the security and confidentiality measures and policies established by the company, as well as to ensure that the other members of the team do the same;
- Ability to communicate orally and written in English;
- Excellent problem solving skills;
- Strong ability to self-motivate, reliable, and able to work alone or in a team;
- Capable of working in a high-pace and evolving environment;
- Patient, professional, dynamic with a positive attitude;
- Serious and responsible;
- Knowledge of the components of a computer as well as the most common game consoles;
- Possessing a DEP in computer support or any other related field of study is an advantage;
- Work experience in the video game industry or customer service;
- In good physical condition, must be able to lift up to 50lbs (23 kg) for task such as moving office furniture/desks/PCs/servers/racks;
- Working knowledge of computer assembly and troubleshooting;
Work Schedule
- The technician must also be available and ready for changes in schedule;
- Available to work overtime as needed to fulfill role requirements. This may include extended shifts and occasional weekend hours.
