Leader: Director, Securitization

Hybrid: You’ll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.

As ATB’s next Treasury Securitization Funding Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the growth of ATB’s securitization operations and funding programs. This position will be working closely with the securitization director to manage the operations of existing funding structures, assist in the development of new funding opportunities and represent Treasury within the organization and the broader industry.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute funding-related strategic initiatives that align with ATB's goals and objectives.
  • Explore and support the securitization portfolios that contribute to the funding strategy, including the management of existing securitized asset portfolios.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of securitization programs and minimize operational risks.
  • Create analytical models and derive valuable insights to facilitate program monitoring and accurate forecasting.
  • Become a subject matter expert on funding-related matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct research and share thought leadership insights to optimize the securitization portfolio, collaborating with the team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of securitization programs, relevant regulations, and associated risks to ensure compliance and mitigate potential issues.
  • Handle straightforward tasks autonomously, while seeking review and guidance for more complex tasks to ensure accuracy and quality.

Requirements

As the ideal candidate you possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; has or working towards advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA)
  • Highly proficient in Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial industry
  • Fundamental corporate finance or capital markets background, with demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and quickly adapt to changing environments
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, BigQuery, SQL, etc.
  • Prior understanding of securitization programs, regulations, and risk management principles is not required but considered an asset.
