Job Description

Coordinator, Mobile Hub

Full Time, Contract (1 year)

Prince George, BC (Home Based)

Reports to: Manager, Programs amp; Operations

We're looking for a mission-driven Coordinator, Mobile Hub who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB
  • Coordinates the logistical planning and project execution of Mobile Hub events in BC and Yukon.
  • Coordinates and maintains strong and effective partnerships with key community organizations that are aligned to and/or can help further our mission, including other blindness and service delivery organizations, agencies, etc.
  • Completes various administrative duties as required: location bookings and evaluations, expense reconciliation, data entry, etc.
  • Outreach to participants and community partners to maximize participation and introduce new participants to the Mobile Hub and CNIB.
  • Provides ongoing feedback, testimonials and other relevant project information for continuous quality improvement of Mobile Hub strategy and funding opportunities.
  • Provides orientation and training to volunteers, and community partners working within the program as needed.
  • Supports on location set up and tear down of the Mobile Hub as needed.
  • Acts as a key local ambassador for CNIB, representing and promoting the organization at all relevant external events.

Requirements

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Degree or diploma in related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of project and/or event coordination experience.
  • Experience in comparable position within a non-profit, voluntary organization an asset.
  • Event and/or project coordination skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge in Salesforce an asset
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
