Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

The Shipper Receiver Administrator is responsible for all paperwork associated with shipping and receiving, including preparing bills of lading, packing slips, and customs documentation. They work closely with the Shipper Receiver/Material Coordinator, suppliers, carriers, and customers to coordinate the timely delivery of goods. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player. It is crucial that the Shipper Receiver Administrator promotes a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the documentation in support of shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies

Creates packing slips

Receive and offload all incoming shipments from vendors and customers as required; verifying packing list to physical quantities received

Receive materials into NAV- ERP and scanning packing list documents to the purchase order

Notify stakeholder where products have been allocated and closing the original request in the purchasing ticketing system

Notify purchasing of packing list discrepancies or damaged product

Arranges freight and deals with brokerage partners to ensure timely deliveries

Collaborates and communicates with Shipper Receiver/Material Coordinator, Project Managers, Shop, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products

Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments

Books, modifies, and maintains appointments for incoming and outgoing trucks

Updates inventory records on the Shop’s database, administering orders and payments, and responding to the customer’s inquiries and concerns.

Maintains accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory and counting accurately

Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments

Enforces and documents job procedures, company policies and procedures

Continuously improves and documents work processes, ensures that processes are communicated with Shop Manager and Shop Team

Knowledge of techniques for document control, tracking, distribution, and follow-ups

Support customers, respond to inquiries, and investigate complaints

Verifies accuracy and completeness of all documents

Set up and monitor accounts of selected customers

Perform routine data entry and other office support activities including creating, sorting, scanning, and filing documents

Working knowledge of mechanical industry

Work closely with Shipping Receiving/Material Handler

Work closely with assembly and fabrication to flag and deliver parts halting production

Assist with movement of material from staging area to assembly

Clearly label all material in shipping and receiving area and follow up on unknown deliveries

Flag low level items to purchasing

Attend daily assembly meeting and take notes on jobs to move/items required to proceed/ trucks to be arranged etc.

Identify and work to provide a solution for potential safety risks

Perform pre-operational checks of material handling equipment

Perform various housekeeping activities as assigned

Follow all work instructions and procedures at all times

Assist with inventory and cycle counts

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE amp; QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of High School or equivalent

Capable of lifting 50 lbs

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills, professional attitude

Excellent data entry, organizational, multi-tasking, and time/task management skills

Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills

Previous experience in Shipping Receiving is an asset

Mechanical knowledge an asset

Experience in custom fab or automation environments an asset

You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
