Role and Responsibilities
Drive all product-related business decisions for the local subsidiary over the product life cycle relating to marketing communications, Sales, Finance, SCM and interfacing with HQ for the Online Business. This includes product line-up strategy, customer collaboration and promotion planning (aligned with the HE category plan), product launches, channel distribution strategy, market share analysis, Forecasting (CMF & 3MF), Inventory Mgmt., market analysis and research and management planning.
Make sure that all the product assets, product information, reviews, syndication, images & pricing are accurate on both Samsung.com and Retailer.com. This includes ensuring that all strategic product focus areas are front and center and included in strategic dealer online activations.
Working with retail partners and Key Account Manager’s ensuring that the launch of new products are well represented on all relevant websites and digital marketing activities making sure that all information required is available at time of product launch. Delivering and, in some cases, creating online assets in collaboration with Marketing to run PromotionsSamsung.com and Retailer.com and aligning with the dealer specific online activities.
Collaborate with the Retail, Product & Sales team to execute on the sales & marketing plan and maximize the online presence with strategic dealers.
Collaborate with information technology and business units to deliver all releases, prepare work schedule for all projects, and provide support to all strategies to achieve all marketing strategies for Samsung.com. Utilize internal digital and online technical experts to build the necessary tools and resources to execute and amplify the Samsung product messages online.
Collaborate with internal marketing communications and digital marketing experts to ensure plans developed are integrated and aligned to best practice principles from both a brand and performance marketing perspective across online activities for ecomm and retailer efforts
Prepare strategies to increase existing and new businesses and manage communication for all ecommerce projects for HE.
Maintain knowledge on all products, services of website, and recommend new products for Samsung.com and recommend enhancements if required and coordinate with various cross-functional team to analyze product requirement.
Communicate to HQ (GBM) re market, competition, and product planning.
Accountable for the profit and loss of the product relating to the online portion of business with strategic dealers and internal direct to consumer channels.
Collaborate with external and internal colleagues to grow sales and profit for product category.
Prepare budget forecasting & profit simulation.
Communicate with customers (Internal / external incl. NSM preparations, trade shows, maintain exceptional partner relationships, etc.).
Review dealer feedback on line-up and compare to current distribution strategy, provide suggested areas of improvement and opportunities to grow our online business.
Assist the Product management team in data mining, analysis, presentation and report creation in a routine manner to make sure all relevant information is available.
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Ecommerce preferred
Knowledge:
Strong analytical skills
Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
Ability to productively interact with distribution, retail and reseller business partners
The ability to plan, organize and implement marketing projects and programs
The ability to disseminate market information and provide the best strategic business plan
The ability to negotiate with both vendors and customers on marketing proposals and plans
The ability to develop tasks, work assignments, to clearly define objectives and give technical sales and marketing on a day-to-day level
Ability to assist in long and mid-term business planning
Ability to manage budgets and determine ROI
Must have a proven track record on results
Ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must
Show a sense of urgency
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
Experience:
Strong understanding of e-store shopping experience in an Omni-channel retail environment is desired.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Ecommerce and digital marketing, Google Analytics or other related experience
Home Appliances or Consumer Electronics background is preferred.
