We are looking for an engaginganddynamic Global Service Desk (GSD) Trainer for our Integrated Global Services branch to out of our Calgary branch! You will be focused on coordinating and delivering training sessions to new and existing members of our GSD team. You serve as an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) expert with the ticketing system, chat and phone tools, and as a specialist in documentation. You will be responsible for creating, delivering, and maintaining a training process and system for the GSD team.A Day in the Life:
  • Prepare and deliver quality training in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Build and overhaul current new hire training content and continuous learning
  • Identify successes, opportunities, and reducing learning curves for new hires
  • Deliver online or onsite required and supplemental training using a variety of tools including online meeting and collaboration applications like Microsoft Teams
  • Deliver learning events in the classroom or online, utilizing a variety of tools including projectors, laptops, web conferencing software, flip charts, audio visual media, and recording devices
  • Apply a variety of instructional techniques such as role playing, systems practice exercises, group discussions, system demonstration, lectures, gamification, and debrief activities to meet learning objectives
  • Respectfully and enthusiastically engage a reluctant audience while presenting content clearly and accurately
  • Write, edit, and maintain documentation for products, support, and services that will include support fundamentals and end user reference guides, training videos amp; training materials, client communication, and FAQs
  • Prepare and deliver or assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations and documentation in support of our clients’ needs as they evolve
What You Bring:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a Service Desk or Contact/Call Center capacity
  • 5 years of experience as a Trainer or Adult Educator coordinating and delivering online and in-person training
  • Experience with training on delivery of service including train the trainer, documentation, knowledge transfer, team and customer support
  • Demonstrated competency in adult learning delivery techniques and methods
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver quality IT training and support programs to various levels of an organization and a wide range of learner types
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit quality training and support materials
  • Technical competence and ability to learn a variety of new systems quickly with minimal instruction
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable and effective in training in both remote and in-person environments
  • Passionate about total customer satisfaction and working with end users
